I designed a structure using GSU and I had the .stl file exported, but the MakerBot printer is printing all the hollow sections like solid blocks, I am not very experienced at this, maybe it's just a minor mistake I made I don't know, but I want to know if there is a problem with the 3d printer or my design??

Check your SLT file. It has some internal errors as I think.the color scheme of your file requires revising.

Load the STL file, select STYLE from WINDOW menu. Then select the Color Sets from the Combo Box. Choose one that has good contrast so that the faces become clear. If the color scheme is okay, printer will identify each object as distinguished and the hollow space will not be printed as block.

Try importing your file to Blender, just make sure your Metrics are set up properly.
Select all faces in Blender, Recalculate and there you go! And you can always run it through Netfabb, best of luck!
