I have an old HP printer connected to my windows 7, the printer is old but its specs says that it is well compatible with both PC and MAC.
I've tried all day, with plugging and unplugging cables and what not, but failed miserably.
There is no effect whatsoever when I am trying to add that printer, it does nothing,
How can I get this to work?

Okay here's the solution to it:-

First Step, on your windows PC:-

GOTO Start, Search 'Programs and features', to the right, select "Turn Windows feature on or off".
Next, expand 'Print and Document Services' and check "LPD Print Service" box.

Second, on your Apple computer:-

Goto 'PrinterSetup Utility' and while holding 'Option' button, select 'More printers'.
Next, select advanced from the 'Menu' and in 'Devices' select "LPD/LPR Host or Printer".
Lastly, Click 'add' in the 'Device URL'.

That's it. You should be able to share now. Write back to me, should you have any doubts about this. Thank you.
