I want to know a simple way to communicate with my printer on windows 7. Ping it, if that's what you geeks call it?

Hi Ovi,

It's pretty straightforward you see, I will explain it to you:-

Open Run - CMD
Then Type in - ping "printer IP"
Hit enter
You just pinged your printer
Congratulations.

If you don't know how to get you Printer Ip then follow this:_

GoTo C - Windows - System32
and run - cscript prnmngr.vbs -l

Hopefully it should list all the network IP's, if not refer to this post ---
