I encountered with this error once before, but somehow managed to tackle it.
Is it because of an OS upgrade because as far as I know it was working flawlessly before this OS upgrade and now it gives me this report that "operation failed, cannot connect to the printer". How do I get over this?

Download the latest Drivers, perform hard reset if needed. (Press and hold the printer power button while everything is disconnected and release after 20 seconds)

We shall now try to install printer on LPT2

In CMD enter this

net use LPT2 \\computername\sharedprintername /persistent:yes

Best of luck!

Sincerely,
