I want to know about filaments which can withstand 500 degree heat or fire. Are there any? I have this big project coming up and I want to prove myself that I am not unintelligent, thank you.

I am sure you are not unintelligent Mr. Foley, you just know a little less about this, which I'll be glad to explain, if you could elaborate.

I don't know of any which can burn at 500 degree, assuming you meant Celcius. Nylon burns out at 150-250 DeCe. Carbon fibers are heat resistant but no that high.
